CDC Zika Virus 101 Video

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is concerned about both imported and potential locally acquired cases of Zika virus infection in the United States. With the recent outbreaks, the number of Zika virus disease cases among travelers visiting or returning to the United States will likely increase. While CDC cannot predict the spread of the Zika virus in the United States, it is actively monitoring the current outbreak to be prepared to address cases.

CDC issued a health alert notice, guidance for clinicians, interim travel guidance, and information for the public. You can find Zika-related clinical, laboratory, epidemiologic, travel notices and communication resources here.

MCMS is committed to keeping you informed about this outbreak as it evolves. We will update resources on our website regularly.
