Description
This free CME, Cannabinoids for Chronic Pain, was developed in partnership with Med-Chi, the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), the Maryland Cannabis Administration, and Dr. Deondra Asike, a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist.
Designed to help clinicians navigate the evolving landscape of pain management and state regulations, the course provides an operational overview of the Maryland PDMP, the 2022 CDC guidelines, and current Maryland cannabis laws.
It dives into the history, physiology, and pharmacology of cannabinoids, while equipping providers with practical screening tools to recognize maladaptive use patterns, support patient safety, and prevent Cannabis Use Disorder.
