The Patient Action Network (PAN) of Montgomery County is a program of the Montgomery County Medical Society (MCMS). PAN's mission is to enhance the partnership between patients and physicians through education, collaboration, and action on important healthcare issues.

What is an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is an important document. After receiving a medical service, a bill is submitted to your insurance company. Your insurance company will then send you an EOB in the mail or via an online patient portal. Prior Authorization
Prior authorization is overused, costly, inefficient and responsible for delayed and disrupted medical care for patients. Not only is prior authorization burdensome, unpredictable and time-consuming for physicians, but it also causes harmful delays in patients receiving the care they need. (click here to read more)
