Primary Care Coalition to Receive 2023 Webster Sewell, M.D. Access to Care Award
Rockville, MD – The Primary Care Coalition (PCC) has been named the recipient of the Webster Sewell, M.D. Access to Care Award, an esteemed recognition bestowed upon organizations committed to providing greater access to health care for the people of the National Capital Region – the mission to which Dr. Sewell was dedicated his entire medical career.
The award, presented by the Montgomery County (Maryland) Medical Society & the National Capital Physicians Foundation, recognizes the Primary Care Coalition for its work in addressing the health disparities faced by low-income individuals and families in Montgomery County, Maryland. PCC is deeply committed to providing a continuum of care for people who are uninsured or underinsured, have limited financial resources, experience health inequities due to structural racism and other social determinants, or face other barriers to achieving healthy lives.
The PCC works with clinics, hospitals, health care providers, and other community partners to coordinate health care and related services for people experiencing vulnerability.
The PCC will receive the Webster Sewell, M.D. Access to Care Award at the 2023 Celebration of Medicine & Installation of Officers, which will take place on April 27, 2023.
