Summer Rise Host Registration

The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Department of Partnerships is excited to announce the launch of our Summer RISE Host Registration for our signature program. Summer RISE (Reimagining an Innovative Student Experience) is a hands-on career learning experience for rising MCPS juniors and seniors during the summer to engage in learning opportunities related to their field of interest. We are seeking hosts in all career fields to help prepare students for life after high school, while you and your organization build a talent pipeline.

Hosts can offer a minimum of 50 hours with in-person, virtual or hybrid options between June 24-July 26, 2024.

Since 2017, more than 3,975 students have participated in the program and had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals. This year, we strive to reach an additional 1,000 MCPS students helping them learn about 80+ industries.

There is no cost to host student(s) and no cost for the students to participate. Every student who completes the program will earn a stipend to cover incidental costs. To mitigate barriers in student participation, Summer RISE students have access to free professional clothing if they need to dress professionally at their host site and Ride On and WMATA public buses for free in Montgomery County.

• Attend the first ever Host Summit on January 30, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. We are inviting previous hosts and prospective hosts to come together to learn about Summer RISE, best practices and how to work with MCPS beyond Summer RISE. Sign up NOW for the Host Summit or an information session. Share this information with a friend/colleague so they can learn about Summer RISE as well.

• Register now through March 15 to become a Summer RISE 2024 Host!
